PERFORMANCE - THE MAGIC TOYBOX OPERA
Tara Okan plays a Toymaker in giant floppy hat and a coat of 900 squares of rich velvet. Needing desperately to prepare a new toy for the upcommings Kings Ball. From his drawing easel the Toymaker creates a dummy Toy soldier but it is unsatisfactory.
Next he creates a Doll that magically comes to life in Re d Satin Pajamas. While the Toymaker is distracted the Doll plays with the dummy soldier instead of getting ready for the ball. The Toymaker is furious and sends the Doll to the Toybox. Which is then, in full view of the audience, shrunk to an impossibly small box only 14" square with the character still inside. The Dolls hand emerges to tell off the Toymaker and when the box is unfolded the Doll emerges and has changed her clothes. This is a brand new world first illusion from our latest Television special with many surprises unmentioned in this short introduction.
